chromatin architecture in cancer LAboratory

We are located at the Conway Institute at University College Dublin, Ireland, where Dr. Conway has been Assistant Professor of Genetics with the School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Sciences since 2022.

The lab focuses on establishing the molecular mechanisms of chromatin and transcriptional regulation. Mutations in epigenetic regulators that control these processes often drive human disease such as cancer and neurodevelopmental syndromes.

We use next-generation genomics and molecular biology techniques such as Hi-C, Hi-ChIP, STORM, CUT&Tag, ChIP-seq and RNA-seq to explore the function of these epigenetic regulators. The ultimate aim is to understand the pathological role of these proteins in order to improve patient treatment.
